The program is designed to support individuals who are highly motivated to gain entry-level employment in the local manufacturing industry. It includes:
· One month of full-time in-class training focused on job readiness, essential workplace skills, and industry-specific preparation.
· After completing the training, participants go through an interview process for real job openings in the local Bay of Quinte community and complete a 4-week full-time placement.
· While employment is not guaranteed, the program helps equip participants with the tools and skills that employers are looking for and prepares participants to succeed in interviews.
· More information about the program is available at www.elevateplus.ca
This program has a limited number of spaces available for each cohort. Interested participants will be considered based on the program requirements, including: eligibility, suitability, participant motivation and commitment to the program, and the number of available open employment positions locally. The intake process for the program can take a few weeks. Interested participants will need to be able to commit to the intake process and stay responsive to program emails, calls, and meeting requests during that period of time.
