The Aboriginal Labour Force Development Circle (ALFDC) proudly serves as the Indigenous Community Entity for the Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy within Toronto. This strategy is dedicated to addressing and reducing Indigenous homelessness through culturally appropriate, community-driven solutions.
As the Indigenous Community Entity, ALFDC administers federal funding under the Indigenous Homelessness stream, ensuring that resources are directed toward initiatives that support Indigenous individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
To ensure that funding decisions reflect the needs and priorities of the community, ALFDC works in close partnership with the Toronto Indigenous Community Advisory Board (TICAB). TICAB is composed of respected Indigenous housing and homelessness serving organizations:
