QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- College diploma in business administration, events coordination or related field with 3 years’ experience
- Or events coordinator certificate with 3 years’ experience
- Or grade 12 with 10 years of direct experience as an events coordinator or cultural coordinator in a First Nations Community
- Experience working with Indigenous knowledge holders
- Extensive experience in event coordination with cultural representation
Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of Anishinaabe and particularly MCFN culture
- Ability to take direction and work under stressful situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Other Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Results of a current positive criminal reference check, including the vulnerable sector screening
- Valid “G” license and a car with proof of insurance and ability to travel throughout MCFN territory
- Professional attire and deportment
