POSITION PURPOSE
Support the delivery of an educational program and approved curriculum at Lloyd S. King Elementary School, ensuring that maintaining high standards for a one-to-one working relationship with a student identified as having unique learning needs by:

Assisting the student in a range of classroom activities, with particular attention to the needs of the assigned student and helping them with social and emotional support as well as schoolwork on an individual basis.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Additional Qualifications
• Caring attitude toward children
• Diploma or Degree in education or child focused field
• WHMIS Certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience in a First Nation Community is an asset
• Must be willing to undergo a police reference check which includes a vulnerable sector screening current within six months.
• CPR/First Aid certification
