The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) invites applications from qualified Teachers for the position of Instructional Leader (Elementary) – Indigenous Education.
This 10-month position will commence September 1, 2025 and is scheduled to end June 30, 2027, subject to any further restructuring or reorganization. This position is subject to possible renewal.
The Urban Indigenous Education Centre (UIEC) provides wrap-around services to support the well-being and learning of First Nations, Métis and Inuit students. UIEC also supports all TDSB staff and students in the learning of Indigenous Education. This position aligns with one of Toronto District School Board’s guiding principles of Truth and Reconciliation and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous as the road to reconciliation.
The Instructional Leader will provide support for the delivery and implementation of the Ontario First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education Policy Framework to schools and teachers.
The successful candidate will report to the Centrally Assigned Principal, Urban Indigenous Education Centre – Indigenous Education, and will be part of regional and system teams.

The candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to advance human rights and take actions that address racism in all its forms, while promoting Equity and demonstrating Anti-Oppressive pedagogy.
Summary of Duties:
- Provide leadership in fostering equity and inclusion in the development and implementation of programs and services;
- Work collaboratively as a member of the core team with the Urban Indigenous Education Centre to carry out key initiatives, including system wide projects;
- Provide professional learning to support school improvement in all aspects of the infusion of Indigenous perspectives, histories, cultures and worldviews across the curriculum, and the implementation of First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies and Native Languages curricula;
- Engage in pedagogical and instructional coaching, co-planning and co-teaching to support classroom teachers, schools and learning networks;
- Provide leadership to build staff capacity in Indigenous Education within various subject/program areas;
- Provide instructional support to students as needed;
- Develop current and relevant curriculum support materials and resources;
- Assist schools in the implementation of provincial and TDSB curriculum policies;
- Facilitate schools in developing and implementing their Truth and Reconciliation School Improvement Plans;
- Support and coordinate on-going implementation of program initiatives and development of best practices in Indigenous Education;
- Attend Student, Parent/Caregiver and Community and departmental meetings, and provide leadership to other TDSB departments in the effective support of School Improvement Planning and implementation across the system;
- Liaise with appropriate provincial organizations, community groups and other departments within the TDSB;
- Track and analyse system achievement data in the subject area and plan for system improvement;
- Provide mentoring, methodology and curriculum expertise to all schools and staff in best practices in Indigenous Education;
- Support secondary instructors and teachers in the implementation and delivery of Native Languages programs and Cultures and Traditions programs;
- Develop First Nations, Métis and Inuit Studies curriculum support materials for secondary credit courses and develop curriculum resource materials for the infusion of Indigenous perspectives across the curriculum;
- Develop Native Languages curriculum support materials;
- Assist schools in the implementation of an inclusive and decolonial curriculum;
- Work with the Elders Council, System Superintendent and Board Lead for Indigenous Education to inform system initiatives and foci; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Candidates must have a demonstrated understanding of, and experience in, specific practical competencies in Indigenous Education;
- Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification in good standing;
- Preference will be given to candidates who have lived experience as a First Nations, Métis or Inuit person and who have a strong understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing, working within First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities;
- A relevant specialist or honours specialist qualification would be an asset;
- Proven ability as an innovative and stimulating educator;
- A minimum of three years of successful teaching and leadership experience would be an asset, with experience in at least two divisions;
- Familiarity with Native Language(s) and oral traditions would be an asset;
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to engage, influence, and motivate others;
- Proven ability to design and facilitate professional development for teachers in a wide variety of areas such as assessment and evaluation, and teaching and learning strategies;
- In-depth knowledge of current educational issues and appropriate Ministry and Board policies, documents and research;
- Demonstrated understanding of collaborative inquiry processes for professional learning;
- Demonstrated experience in Indigenous Education reflecting a deep understanding of the histories, socio-political contexts, perspectives and current experiences of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples;
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing effective practices that support First Nations, Métis and Inuit students;
- Excellent information technology skills, and knowledge of instructional software to support Native Languages programs and the infusion of Indigenous perspectives across the curriculum;
- Ability to provide program support for Indigenous Education across the curriculum;
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, mentoring and staff development skills;
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills;
- Proven ability in promoting equitable practices which value inclusion and diversity;
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a learning/working environment which actively promotes and supports human rights;
- Demonstrated experience in working with and in Indigenous communities will be an asset; and
- Understanding of an integrated approach to curriculum planning and delivery.
Information for Candidates:
1. The successful candidate’s salary will be in accordance with the teacher’s salary grid plus the allowance for Instructional Leaders.
2. The successful candidate will also be entitled to a Tier 1 supplementary expense allowance, currently $1,750 annually.
3. If a Position of Responsibility Allowance is currently held, that Allowance does not transfer to this position.
4. Subject to the staffing rules governing leave rescinds, any teacher who holds a Position of Responsibility and who is hired into an acting assignment or into a centrally assigned position will be returned to their Position of Responsibility upon return from their acting assignment or their centrally assigned position, unless either assignment occurs in the final year of the termed Position of Responsibility appointment.

Job Summary:
The purpose of the LDM Training Coordinator is to ensure the coordination of the training programs for members of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation is completed in an effective and efficient manner, and to aid in the improvement and effectiveness of the funding for the training programs for community members. Media Technician - Associate Director - This successful candidate for this position has a good understanding of television production with some control room experience. The position will be assigned primarily in a state of the art automated digital control room. The Associate Director is responsible for timing the show and communicating show elements using a standardized method, along with other duties. You will be interacting with talent and working with a team of dedicated professionals delivering daily news programming. Bilingual in French is an strong asset for this position.
Media Technician - Lighting - The successful candidate for this position possesses a good understanding of lighting principles across various production environments. You have experience in hands-on installation and focusing of various lighting fixtures, and a general knowledge of electrical power connection and distribution. You are eager to learn more about lighting technology and to develop proficiency in creating and executing various lighting effects to bring creative visions to life. Media Technician - Audio - The successful candidate for this position has a love for all things audio related. You will be responsible for assisting the lead audio technician (A1) in delivering high quality audio in both live and taped productions. . This role involves setting up, operating and maintaining audio equipment, ensuring optimal sound mixes, providing sound reinforcement, managing audio routing systems, and capturing/playing back audio content with excellent fidelity. Roles and Responsibilities: Tribunals Ontario is a group of 13 adjudicative tribunals that play an important role in the administration of justice in Ontario. Each year our tribunals receive and resolve nearly 100,000 cases - providing fair, accessible dispute resolution to thousands of Ontarians.
Tribunals Ontario is seeking part-time Members for the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO).
HRTO resolves claims of discrimination and harassment brought under the Human Rights Code, and other applicable legislation, policies and rules. Services are delivered across the province and are of a high quality resulting in a fair and accessible experience for parties and stakeholders.
As a part-time Member, the successful candidates will be accountable to the Executive Chair and work under the general direction and mentorship of the Associate Chair, or delegate.Members are responsible for adjudicating and mediating disputes under applicable legislation, policies and rules, using a variety of dispute resolution methods. Members may be assigned to carry out their adjudicative responsibilities alone or as part of a panel. Services are delivered across the province and are of a high quality resulting in a fair and accessible experience for parties and stakeholders. As such, members will be required to travel throughout the province.

The Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009 provides that all appointments shall be made through a competitive, merit-based process, with criteria for appointments that include:
- Experience, knowledge or training in the subject matter and legal issues dealt with by the tribunal.
- Aptitude for impartial adjudication.
- Aptitude for applying alternative adjudicative practices and procedures that may be set out in the tribunal’s rules.
In addition, a successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Computer literacy; and
- Ability and willingness to travel (with accommodation as required).

Tribunals Ontario will continue primarily with its digital-first approach which is to conduct hearings remotely via digital platforms such as Teams or Zoom or by telephone and operate electronically. Constituent tribunals rely heavily on electronic case management systems, editing and managing documents electronically and keeping up-to-date outlook calendars. All adjudicative work is conducted electronically (including hearings) and adjudicators are expected to operate fully independently to manage their own hearings and administrative items such as writing, preparing, processing, formatting and uploading their decisions. There is no administrative support to assist with these functions. Accordingly, computer skills and proficiency with IT programs are a requirement of the position.
