Description: The objectives and goals of the Anduhyaun Project is employ a Program Assistant at the Women’s Shelter, and Second Stage Housing facility.  This individual will work collaboratively to develop realistic community awareness of homelessness and provide an important link between homeless women and the resources they need.  {Including services such as shelter, food, hygiene, appropriate referrals; for example mental health and addictions support, housing advocacy, and crisis and life skills counselling.}
The Program Assistant would offer a continuum of frontline supports to the residents and other clients which includes:

  • Increased efficiency and support during intake, move-in, occupancy, and move out processes.
  • Increased access to supports and advocacy whilst seeking affordable, permanent housing.
  • Increased access to Life skills and Sexual Assault counselling.

Description: The Nekenaan Renovation Project involves the conversion and revitalization of the original layout of the building from shared residential units with very little appropriate programming space, to one or more independent resident units and a number of well designed common areas.  This application is being made tocover the costs of renovations to the 6th floor. After the renovations for the 6th floor have been completed, they will have added an additional 24 units with the capacity to hold 40 women and children. This will also create additional programme space and a children’s play area and community kitchen.


Project Sponsor:  Anduhyuan – Capital renovations

Description: This is a renovation project that includes:  repainting all the interior floors of the building including hallways, offices, kitchens, washrooms, meeting rooms, daycare (necessary as mandated by the city), garbage rooms, resident hallways and common rooms. Other initiatives in this project include: a number of upgrades to the elevator, a boiler control replacement, a wireless modem relay and pigeon netting installation to increase the efficiency and security of the building

Description: The objectives of Anduhyaun Inc.’s project are to: reduce bed bug infestation, take a pro-active approach to Toronto’s bed bug infestation and replace aging furniture to ensure a safe continuation of services. This is a capital project to purchase metal beds, vinyl covered mattresses, nightstands, tables, chairs, rest mats and storage units for the second-stage housing location and daycare.
