Description: The project will help with the staffing of two office locations in Toronto. Provide evening service for clients twice per month. Conduct a minimum of 6 workshops for users of the service. Main focus is to work with Housing First clients to get them housed. Secondary supports given to provide counselling and support to all tenants living in Transitional housing units. Conduct intake and/or needs assessments for Aboriginal households at risk of homelessness. Provide information and referrals to clients. Assist clients with obtaining pre-housing supports. Complete and update client housing application forms. Assist HF clients in obtaining affordable housing. Liaise with landlords in order to help prevent evictions. Provide housing follow-up after clients have been housed. Help prevent evictions of Housing First clients by investigating all possible options prior to evictions taking place.
